This is the sound of the forthcoming Russian presidential elections but from a slightly different perspective. A few of weeks before the polling stations open their doors, dozens of sandwich boards hit the street encouraging people to make a vote — like elsewhere across the country, being a part of the national campaign. These banners are short-lived, when the elections are over they will make way for more traditional outdoor advertising.

Now to the recording. Two men in workwear fixing the plastic banner up in the air while their safety ropes clamps make clanging sounds. Red Army avenue to the right.
