Vorobievy Gory (Sparrow Mountains in rough translation) to the south-west of Moscow. Boats are passing along the bank of the Moscow river, two cyclist are approaching the quay.

– Now the jump of a century! – proclaims the first one.
– Jump into the water, – jokingly replies another as the ships move from left to right.

I had no camera with me at the moment (as you probably noticed). But well – do I really have to? Let’s draw the scene then, and I hope you don’t mind. At least its similar to what it felt being there.

A few peaceful ducks quackings and then – a brass band suddenly reaches our ears from the other shore. It seems like some sort of rehearsals have to be done towards the International military brass band festival held at the same time in Moscow. I’m not sure whether this is the Russian band really because the participants are from a good number of countries. If you have any ideas regarding what army in the world this piece of music may belong to, please let me know.

Again, at the end of the day its all about the fantastic quality of field recording – as you’re pressing the rec button once you’ll never know what comes next.
